Victoria Jean Brumley

Victoria Jean Brumley, 80 of Barnsdall went home to her Heavenly Father on May,31 2024. Vicky was born in Williamson, New York on February 17, 1944, to Viola Holbrook. She was raised by her parents Estel and Ollie Hampton. She attended school in Rochester, New York until moving to La Habra, California. Vicky had 7 brothers and 2 sisters: Tommy, Curt, Frank, Kenneth, Danny, David, Bobby, Dorothy and Ruth. Vicky married Danny Wayne Brumley on January 20, 1961. They moved to Oklahoma, where they made their home in and around the Barnsdall area. They had 5 children: Arthur Brumley and wife Clydette of Barnsdall, Judy Snead and husband Jeff of Barnsdall, Cindy Huntsman and husband Bob of Barnsdall, Maggie Hawes and husband Brian of Tuttle, and Betty Gay of Wynona. Vicky had ten grandchildren: Misty Smith, Trista Adams, Jeffrey Snead, Michael Baker, Heather Prunty, Megan Bryant, Caleb Hawes, Brandon Gay, Brandi Hayman and Kate Brady and their spouses. She had twenty-seven great grandchildren: Beau Smith, Emma Smith, Brody Smith, Aubrey Smith, Cayden Adams, Noah Adams, Brealynn Adams, Cassie Snead, Bentyn Snead, Addilyn Snead, Grayson Baker, Endsley Baker, Madalyn Akin, Raegan Prunty, Rian Prunty, Baker Prunty, Landrie Hawes, Adley Hawes, Kodi Hawes, Tucker Gay, Leanora Gay, Hensley Hayman, Sophia Hayman, Mason Hayman, Hayes Hayman, Clayton Brady, and Barrett Brady. Everyone was her favorite! Vicky worked all her life, some of her most memorable places of employment were Pawhuska IGA and Barnsdall Public Schools, where coach Joe Gilbert said she could outwork any man. Her greatest accomplishment was caregiver. Some of those she cared for were her parents, her husband Dan the love of her life, her children, her grandchildren and other friends. Vicky enjoyed sewing, quilting, and singing. She was loved by all who knew her, including many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be greatly missed; however, we are comforted knowing that she is with the Lord and all those who have gone before her. She now has her new heavenly body. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Oglesby Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to The Journey Home, 900 Washington Blvd. Bartlesville, OK 74006. The family will be forever grateful for the amazing care they gave our mother and the entire family during the last few days of her life.
