Sandra Ann Harris

Sandra Ann (Manly) Harris was born on July 15, 1952, in Passaic New Jersey. She was the youngest of three children. During Sandy's formative years, she lived in Covina California with her family. She enjoyed her time at the beach surfing, tanning, and playing guitar. After high school graduation she went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Social work from Oral Roberts University, It was there that she met the love of her life James Harris. She went on to obtain a Masters in Social Work from Indiana University, and a Second Masters Degree in Human Service Counseling from Regent University. Sandy was passionate about serving God through ministry. She became an ordained minister through Christ for the Nations and worked alongside Jim ministering through music, missions, speaking, and serving others. Sandy spent her career in the social work field working with people from all walks of life, making sure that their needs were being met. Sandy was a loving and caring woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand and care for others. She will be remembered for her compassionate nature, generosity, and for being a good friend. Her hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved immensely, spending time at the beach, making quilts, and Scrapbooking. Sandy was a world traveler and absolutely loved collecting brochures and postcards from every adventure. She enjoyed caring for others, taking time to ensure everyone she encountered felt special and appreciated. On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, Sandy was called home to be with her Heavenly Father. She leaves to cherish her many memories, her husband, James Harris, siblings Richard Manly, Bonnie (Brushwiller) Moore, her daughter, Carrie (Joel) Howell, Son's David (Jessica) and Benjamin Harris, son-in-law Chase Ashley, her grandchildren, Adelin, Briley, Carlie, Isabel, Christian, and Corbin, and a host of other family members and friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Elsworth Manly, Mother Kathleen (Jordan) Manly, Brother Gary Manly and her daughter Beth Ann (Christianson) Ashley. Celebration of life with friends and family will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024 10am - 12pm at New Life Church Copan. 445 S Caney Street, Copan, Oklahoma 74022.
