Rodney Wayne Caughell

Rodney 'Wayne' Caughell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024, at the age of 65 from complications of diabetes and several strokes. Wayne was born on August 13, 1958, in Bakersfield, California, to William Warren Caughell Senior and Irma Jean Hawkins. He spent his formative years in the mission field within his parent's nurturing environment, helping Marsh Children's Home in Acapulco, Mexico, where he developed a lifelong love for the Spanish language and had great memories. In the summers, Wayne spent time with his father and mother, Deanie Caughell, and his Florida siblings, creating memories with them there. 1981 Wayne graduated from ORAL ROBERTS University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, beginning a journey filled with passion, faith, and love. Wayne's devotion to Jesus Christ was unwavering throughout his life, serving as a guiding light for all who knew him. Wayne's greatest joys were in music, singing, and his cherished family. He loved Oklahoma, and after marrying Stella, with whom he shared four children: Nathan, Robert, Bryan, and Jared Caughel, they moved back to Tulsa. Later in life, he found companionship and deep love with Patricia Ann Spencer, blending their families into one giant, loving unit where her children made him a Grandpa. His smile in the fedora or flat hat would mark that particular time of his life. Wayne's legacy of love and dedication lives on through his surviving family: his former wife Patricia and her children, Matt and Amber, granddaughter Harlyn, son John and his wife, Valerie Johnson, and daughters Laura and Leah. His brother, Dr. David, and wife, Tracye Caughell, and their children • Caitlyn and Rickey Kraemer, their children Roselyn and David. • Kennedy and Tim Frasier. His sister Kristi and husband Thomas Saecker, and their children • Eric Saecker, deceased • Jacob Saecker, • Benjamin and Maribel Saecker. Wayne's generous spirit, warm heart, boisterous laugh, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew him. Though he has departed from this world, his memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those he leaves behind. In honoring Wayne's memory, may we all strive to live with the same passion, faith, and love that he exemplified daily in his remarkable life. Life is truly and adventure and has to end for a new one in heaven to begin. The final resting will be in Greenlawn Funeral Homes, Bakersfield, CA. Services will be in California.
