PAUL “ROBBY” PRENTICE, III Paul (Robby) Prentice III passed from this world on April 25, 2016, at 66 years of age. Robby was born on January 7, 1950, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Paul R Prentice, Jr. and Phyllis (Kimzey) Prentice. On September 4, 1970, Robby married Linda Clark. They made their home in Dewey, Oklahoma. Robby attended high school in Dewey, Oklahoma and went to work for Bluestem Foundry at age 14. He later worked for Reda Pump in Bartlesville. His last job was with Doenges Ford assisting in the body shop. One of Robby's projects was restoring his 1959 Cushman Eagle. He entered (and won) many competitions with his Cushman. He also enjoyed music and playing his guitar. He played weekly in the garage with a group of friends. When in high school he was in a band called The Del Tones. They reunited to play at a class reunion in 2003. However, his favorite thing was his family. He was active in sports with his sons. The grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He maintained a pool and built a fort for the kids to enjoy. At the end of a day playing outside the grand kids would all pile in the bed with Gramps to watch TV and eat candy Gramps kept hidden. Great memories. Robby is survived by his wife of more than 45 years, Linda, and sons Jack Prentice of Bartlesville and Jeff Prentice of Dewey and friend, Sampson James. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Tristen Prentice, Kendra Payton, Brady Prentice, Blake Prentice, Lexi Prentice, Nik Prentice, and Laynee Prentice. A special sister-in-law, Martha Ely, also survives. Robby is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Prentice and sisters Paula Raney and Pam Seybert. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Prentice, Jr., and his grandparents. Casket escorts are his four oldest grandchildren (Tristen, Kendra, Brady, and Blake) and two sons (Jack and Jeff). Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 28, at 11:00 am at the Dewey Cemetery. Please make contributions in Robby's memory to the New Hope Indian United Methodist Church, PO Box 503, Dewey, OK 74029. Robby was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend He will be missed
