Mary Katherine Leuck Mary Katherine Leuck joined her husband and her Savior on Feb 23, 2014 after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on May 30, 1933 in Glasgow MO to Nannie Mae (Woods) and Ralph Maupin she grew up and attended school in Glasgow before attending William Woods College in Fulton, MO where she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Business. She met John Francis "Jack" Leuck in Kansas City, MO and they married on Sept 3 1955. They moved to Bartlesville Ok in 1966 where Jack worked for Phillips Petroleum. Mary began working as a legal secretary for Rowland and Rowland in 1973 and was there until she retired in 1988. Mary was a generous and kind hearted woman who spent much of her life giving back to the community. She volunteered at the Jane Phillips Hospital Auxiliary, the Literacy Council, and was the volunteer librarian for St John’s School for several years. An active member of St John’s Catholic Church, she was a member of the choir as well as singing with the Bartlesville Choral society. In later years she also helped out at the Bartlesville Community Center and Eldercare. Mary enjoyed a good book, a good tale and a good laugh. Always with a smile on her face, she aided those in need and never hesitated to take on any task. Preceded in death by her husband, John F. “Jack” Leuck , originally of Maryville, MO, she is survived by her sister, Marjorie Wells of Stockton, CA, three children and their spouses, Phillip J. and Danette Leuck of Bartlesville, OK, David J. and Cindy Leuck of Brea, CA and Nancy K. and Ricky Ledbetter of Fayetteville, AR, eleven grandchildren, Sam Ledbetter, Matt Ledbetter, Daniel Leuck, Jennifer and Isaac Hodges, , Ashton Leuck, Alexander Leuck, William Leuck, Trysta Shaffer, Traelynda Baker and Masson Bradford as well as three great-grandchildren. A true woman of God, she exemplified Proverbs 31 and “her children arise and call her Blessed.” Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville on Friday Feb. 28 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Michael Vallandingham officiating and directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
