Lynda Lynne Devenport

Lynda Lynne Devenport, 63, of Bartlesville Oklahoma went to be with Jesus on Sunday April 16th, 2023. Lynda was born in Dallas Texas to James Winters and Gloria Gent. As a child, she lived in multiple states to include her favorites, Texas, Utah, and Florida. She ultimately landed in Dallas where she met the love of her life Jeffrey Devenport. She was a hardworking, dedicated woman who had a very successful career with Albertsons, Chase Oaks Church, and VMware. Starting as a cashier, she worked her way up to the Garland Albertsons store director. After 27 years, she decided to dedicate her time to volunteering in the children’s ministry at Chase Oaks Church. In classic Lynda fashion, she did such an amazing job that she was offered the Elementary Coordinator position, where she got to spend her days teaching children about God, something she loved to do. Lynda was passionate about helping others and was a shoe in for her latest career as an Executive Administrator with VMware, where she supported the VP of Sales and their team. Lynda was deeply loved and appreciated at work and left a legacy and impact everywhere she went. Lynda was the standard of an authentic God-fearing woman, who even in her last days was leading the hospital staff to the Lord. She loved connecting with others and treasured her long time Walker Life Group family and two weekly bibles studies which she hosted in person and virtually. Lynda got to spend the last 7 months as part of the re-planting team for New Life Church in Copan Oklahoma where she quickly inspired and directly impacted all those who met her. She was not shy to talk about her Jesus and how amazing He is to her despite her record breaking 30-year battle with hypersensitivity Pneumonitis (Farmer’s Lung). Lynda never let her disease stop her from living a life full of family and adventure. She traveled all around the world, participated in mission trips, vacationed to Mexico and Hawaii and lived in the mountains of Colorado. She got to check off a multitude of bucket list items, to include seeing her daughter get married to her favorite son-in-law and getting to be a LuLu to her grandson. Lynda is proceeded in death by her father James Winter, Stepmother Sally Winters. Uncles, Wayne Tedder (wife Laverne) and Lanier Campbell. Nephew, Nick Devenport. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Devenport, Daughter Jewles Johnson, Son-in-Law Benjamin Johnson, Grandson Jeremiah Johnson, Mother Gloria Gent, and in law’s James and Joyce Devenport. Siblings, Kimberly Winters, James Winters (wife Laurie), Debbie Winters Welter, Jennifer Winters and Michael Winters (wife Stephanie). In-Laws Dennis Devenport, and Jennifer Pierce (Husband Craig). Aunts, Sandra Campbell and Deborah Cassidy. Uncles, Steve Gillespie and Tommy Gillespie. Nephews, Garrett Hornbuckle (wife Danielle), Christopher Winters (wife Marissa), Everett Winters, Gavin Winters, Justin Pierce (wife Laura Ann), and Aaron Pierce (wife Kelsey). Nieces, Brittany McGiboney, Bailey Hornbuckle, Regan Garrett, Alison Winters, Rebecca Devenport, Jessica Hall (husband Parker), and Jenna Callier (husband Logan). Numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.
