Floyd Marvin Inman

Mr. Floyd M. Inman, Jr. Floyd M. “Bud” Inman, 80, formerly of Dewey, died at 5:50 A.M. on Friday in Caney, Kansas. Services will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday in the Dewey Cemetery Pavilion, with Evangelist David Bycroft of the Tyro Christian Church officiating, and directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Mr. Inman was born July 19, 1934 at Lenapah, Oklahoma to Floyd Marvin and Gladys Marie (Tate) Inman Sr. He grew up and received his education at Lenapah Schools. He was married to Dora Sue Lindley on January 1, 1973 at Nevada Missouri. They made their home in Dewey during their married life, where Mr. Inman worked at Jane Phillips Medical Center, and at Phillips Petroleum Company as a maintenance worker. He was active in coaching Baseball in Dewey as his children were growing up, and enjoyed all kinds of sports, including baseball, football, and basketball. He was also an avid OU Fan in football, and all other sports. He and Dora Sue were also avid dancers; particularly two stepping. Mrs. Inman preceded him in death on May 8, 2004. He had been in ill health for the past 18 years, and had been a resident of Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey, and for the past few years at Caney Nursing Home. He had been baptized while a resident at Forrest Manor. He was dedicated to his family, his children and grandchildren. Mr. Inman is survived by his three daughters Kim Misegades, and husband Mike of Coffeyville, Kansas Sheila Clapp and husband Kevin of Edna, Kansas, and Tammy Patterson and husband Stonie of Galena, Kansas, by a daughter-in-law Rhonda Inman of Caney, Kansas, by a sister Maxine Montee and husband Joe of Bartlesville, by his eight grandchildren; Misty Sweet, Jesse Inman, Alexandria Dressler, Olivia Inman, Amanda Clapp, Jessica Dressler, Tyler Kizzire, and Kandace Inman, and by one great grandchild Brynlee Thornbrugh. Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife Dora Sue Inman, May 8, 2004 and by a son, Kevin Inman in June 2, 2011, and by a sister Norma Jean Mangels.
