Emmet Earl Hallagin

Mr. Emmet Earl Hallagin Mr. Emmet Earl Hallagin, went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2012, in the loss of his home, due to fire. He was disabled and in ill health. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday in the Javine Cemetery near Barnsdall with Pastor Kevin Baker of the Ramona First Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will be under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Emmet was born in Bartlesville, OK, the son of Emmet Earl Hallagin, Sr. and Ida Mae (Bill) Hallagin on September 8, 1941. Emmet began his education in Bartlesville and continued at Kelly School when the family moved in 1952 to a country home near Barnsdall, OK., graduating from Barnsdall High School. He furthered his education at Okmulgee Tech in Plumbing and also trained with the Roto Rooter Co in Oklahoma City. As a young man, he was an avid hunter and had a great number of coon dogs even into his older years. He and Mary Jo Saferite were married on December 23, 1960. They shared 51 years together. To this union were born four children. Emmet was employed at several jobs in his lifetime. The Al Jones 66 Service Station, Quickle and Walkingstick Plumbing Companies and the Robinowitz Oil Company in the Oilfield Business where he remained until retiring and moving with his wife to a country home north of Pawhuska. Ok. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jo, two daughters Mary Diane Michaels of Kansas and Ida Mae (Dickie) Shrakes of Bartlesville, OK, 1 son-Johnny Blaine (Sheila) Hallagin of Barnsdall, OK. Ten grandchildren, Christopher Davenport, Crystal Panther, Rachel Mills, Jennifer Turner, Stacy Shrakes and Michelle Shrakes, Dalton Hallagin, Laken Hallagin, Dillon Hallagin, Six sisters and one brother, Marcella (Alfred) Jones of Ramona, OK, Mary Lou Chambers of Pawhuska, OK, Ida Per Nina Lewis of Barnsdall, OK, Charlene Mae Beard of Bartlesville, OK, Gloria Marie Hallagin of Barnsdall, OK& Richard Charles Hallagin of Barnsdall, OK. Thirteen nieces and nephews, countless great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He will be greatly missed. Preceding in death were his parents, son-Billy Joe Hallagin; identical twin brothers in infancy and one nephew. PDF Printable Version
