Dean Earl Cunningham

MR. DEAN EARL CUNNINGHAM Dean Earl Cunningham,71, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away, Sat. May 26, 2012 at 10:32 PM in the Jane Phillips Hospital of complications following a brave fight with complications of Parkinson’s Disease with his wife and daughters at this side. Dean was born on June 18, 1940 in Salt Lake City, UT to Alvin Earl and Beulah (Schroeder) Cunningham. He spent his youth in the Murray and South Salt Lake area graduating from Granite High School. He married his high school sweetheart Joan Fogg in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on Dec. 5, 1958. He has been active in the LDS Church his entire life. His professional career was spent as an outside salesman in the NAPA Automotive organizations. This brought him transfers for him and his family to Guilford, CT., Pensacola, FL., Denver, CO., and Independence, KS. He retired from Automotive Controls in 2000. Part of his "retirement" was spent driving a school bus for the Bartlesville Schools; a job where he really enjoyed being with the kids. Dean was a dedicated and loving husband and an amazing father and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Joan F. of the home; daughter Keri (D. Wesley) Hogan of Salt Lake City, UT., son Todd Earl (Kellie) of Highlands Ranch, CO., daughter Kimm (Doran) Smith of McCloud, OK., daughter Ricci (Alan) of Bartlesville, OK., sister Sylvia West of Taylorsville, UT. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dean was preceded in death by a brother Lynn and also by his youngest son, Ryan Jay, who died in the line of duty as a Peace Officer in Vail, CO. Family Visitation for Mr. Cunningham is scheduled Wed. Evening;6:00-8:00 at the Stumpff Funeral Home and a viewing Thursday 10:00-10:30am at the LDS Church in Bartlesville, OK. Services for Dean will be 11:00-12:00 Thursday morning at the LDS Church with Bishop Kent Morris officiating. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Evergreen, CO. on Mon. June 4th.
