Audrey Pearl Foote

Audrey Pearl Foote was born on June 7, 1931 in Grand Falls, Newfoundland (Canada) to James Bragg & Catherine Elizabeth (Dyke) Bragg. Surrounded by the family she loved so much, she entered God’s Heavenly Kingdom on June 5, 2025. Following her high school graduation in Grand Falls, Audrey attended and graduated with a nursing degree from Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland. While working as a Registered Nurse in St. John’s, she met and married the love of her life, Dr. John D. Foote, who was stationed in St. John’s with the United States Air Force. They were united in marriage on July 21, 1955. After John’s honorable discharge they moved to Dewey, OK and established their family home as well as Dewey Veterinary Clinic. Despite the many hours dedicated to assisting John in the Clinic, Audrey also found time to support the Dewey and Bartlesville communities. She and John were active members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, and Audrey spent time on the Boards of Directors of the Washington County Red Cross, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Washington County and the Washington County Mental Health Association. She also provided leadership to Brownie and Girl Scout troops, the Dewey 4-H Club, Home Demonstration Club and Daughter’s of the King. Mother figure to many, Audrey eventually retired to Bella Vista, AR with John where they were very active in the community as well as in St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church. Memories of Audrey are etched in the hearts of everyone she touched. Stories of her acts of kindness, wisdom and friendship will continue to be cherished by family, friends & acquaintances. Most will remember her as “Audrey Pearl the Best in the World”! She is survived by her children: Debbie Gordon (Rick), Cheryl Bridendolph (Bill), Patty Foote, John D. Foote, III (Stella). Grandchildren: Sarah Gordon (Joel Bernstein), Catherine Gordon (Tom Pritchard), Andrew and Hannah Gordon; Will Bridendolph (Ashley), Audra and Spencer Bridendolph; Grant, Bailey, Levi, Luke and Jack Foote; as well as 7 great-grandchildren. Audrey also leaves behind four siblings: May Quigley, Blanche Burge, Josie Lewis and Fred Bragg all of Newfoundland. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. John D. Foote, her son-in-law James A . Vail, her parents and sisters Daisy Sheppard and Mary Noseworthy. Services will be held at a later date.
