ANNA RUTH MCLAUGHLIn Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday in the Barnsdall Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Ethel Reece Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff-Barnsdall Funeral Home. Anna Ruth McLaughlin, 85, was born in Oilton, Oklahoma on September 27th, 1929 to Franklin and Letha Eikenbary. She left this world to be with her Lord and savior on Monday September 14th 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Vernon McLaughlin and two sons Larry Wayne and Russell Lee McLaughlin. She was reared in her rural Oilton home with a large family of 13 children. She often spoke of fond memories growing up in a loving family. She was united in matrimony to her best friend Claude Vernon McLaughlin on November 1st 1946.They were married 53 years when Claude was called home to be with our heavenly father. They made their home in Oklahoma, California and Kansas all before settling in Barnsdall, Oklahoma in 1960 where they raised their Family. Their union was blessed with six children whom they raised with love, patience, discipline and understanding. Instilling in them the knowledge of Christ’s sacrifice for our salvation. Ruth was a very active member of the Barnsdall First Free Will Baptist Church since 1960. Serving as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Secretary and Deaconess. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Ruth was known for her sweet, gentle nature and her warm loving smile. Ruth is survived by her sibilings: Doug Eikenbary and wife Juanita of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, their children Tammy and Rob. Jim Eikenbary of Anchorage, Alaska. Lois Eikenbary of Houma, Louisiana. Children: Bob McLaughlin and wife Julie of Skiatook, Oklahoma. Sandra Hayes and husband Bob of Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Claudia McCauley of Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Terry Lesch and husband Jerry of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Daughter-in-law Tammi Layton of Copan, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Brian McLaughlin, Christy McLaughlin, Neely Hayes, Justin Hayes, Wil McCauley, Brianna Hibdon, Libby First, Katie Whitehead, Jessi Thummel, Sara Gaches and Tylen Layton. Great-Grandchildren: Brandon, Erick, Kane, Garrett, Kennedy, Ricky, Rusty, Kassidy, Spencer, Kameron, Kade, Annabella, Henry, Joey, Rachel, Jake, Logan, Colton and Lia.
