Yvonna Lucille Geddes

MRS. YVONNA LUCILLE GEDDES Yvonna Lucille Geddes, 78, Bartlesville resident and retired LPN for Jane Phillips Medical Center, died Monday evening in Bartlesville. Funeral Services for Mrs. Geddes will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Mrs. Geddes was born to Jesse and Willa (Chapman) Brockman on October 7, 1936 at Boulanger, Oklahoma, near Pawhuska. She was raised at Boulanger, and later at Big Heart where she grew up and received her education, graduating High School there, and later received her Licensed Practical Nursing education at Tri-County Technical School in Bartlesville. She was married to Blaine Snyder on June 3, 1954, and they made their home in Wichita, Kansas, Tulsa, and later at Elgin Kansas. She was later married to Ralph Gibson Geddes. They made her home in Bartlesville, since 1969 and she had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Jane Phillips Medical Center for over 30 years, and later worked at the former Heritage Manor nursing home, and in home health care, until her retirement. She attended the Baptist church, was an animal lover, rescuing many dogs, and was very fond of her dog Bandit, who preceded her in death just recently. She was also looking forward to and expecting her first great-grandbaby. Mrs. Geddes is survived by her son Steven Blaine Snyder and wife Katie of Powhatan, Virginia, by two daughters, Jessica Doggett and Norma June Snyder, both of Bartlesville, by two grandchildren Krysha Snyder of Richmond Virginia, and Kylie Doggett of Bartlesville, by two brothers Bill Brockman and wife Hazel of Ochelata, Oklahoma and Norman Brockman and wife Barbara of Oklahoma City, OK., and a sister Frances Chavez and husband Robert of Nowata, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Willa Brockman, by her husband Ralph Gibson Geddes in 2000, and by Blaine Snyder in December of 2011, and also by a brother.
