Virginia Gayle Trower

Virginia "Gayle" Stockton Trower of Dewey, Oklahoma passed away on June 6, 2024 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was 77 years old. Gayle, the daughter of Frank Ralph Stockton and Lucia Frances Hewlett Stockton was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on March 28, 1947. Gayle attended the Bartlesville school system and graduated from College High School in 1965. She worked many jobs: sales clerk, dental receptionist, transport for DHS but the ones she loved most was being a Mom, a Nana, and a Nana the Great. Gayle married William James Trower on March 16, 1966. Gayle's main interests and hobbies were her family, daughters, grandkids, and great grandkids but she also enjoyed sewing, painting, reading, and listening to music. Gayle was preceded in death by her husband Bill Trower, nephews Gregory Stockton, Daryl James Reese, and Steven Stockton, her brother Donald W. "Pete" Stockton, her mother Frances Stockton, and her father Frank Stockton. She is survived by a sister, Jeanne Ann Reese and her husband Jim Reese, a brother Glen Edwin "Bud" Stockton and his wife, Carol Stockton. Gayle had four daughters: Kim Howard Osborne and her husband, Scott Osborne of Lake Tapawingo, Missouri. Stacey Michelle Lenon and her husband, James Lenon of Edmond, Oklahoma. Stephanie Dawn McNeice and her husband, Scott McNeice of Dewey, Oklahoma. And Shannon Elizabeth Williams and her husband Warren Williams of Dewey, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren: Stephanie & Matt Holem of Syracuse, MO, Rachel & Jared Westbrooks of Independence, MO, Mallory & Kyle Thomas of Dewey, OK, Hayden & Hunter Lenon of Yukon, OK, Brody Osborne of Lees Summit, MO, Parker Lenon of Oklahoma City, OK, Sydney Osborne of Harrah, OK, Clay McNeice of Dewey, OK, Caleb & Patrick Atchison of Durant, OK, Baylee Lenon of Edmond, OK, Nolan McNeice of Dewey, OK, and Atlas Williams of Dewey, OK. She had many great grandkids as well: Alaina, Henry, Landon, Alexander, Rylee, Dakota, Ezekiel, Marshall, Steven, Ellie Mae, and Harper. She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends - so blessed with too many to mention but all so dear to her heart. Gayle's memorial service will be held at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville, OK on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Dewey Cemetery during a private graveside service at later date.
