SUZAN ELIZABETH “Beth” BLEVINS Suzan Elizabeth “Beth” Blevins, 61, resident of Bartlesville, died at 5:42 PM Friday, June 6, 2014, in Bartlesville. Funeral services were held at 10 A.M. Monday June 9, 2014 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Hamm officiating. Interment at a later date in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Mrs. Blevins or Beth as she was known was born on January 13, 1953 at Rivera, Texas to Richard L. and Marie Olivia (Weir) McCarter. She came to Bartlesville as an infant, and was raised and received her education in Bartlesville Public Schools, attending Sooner High School and graduated in 1970. She was married to Frank Richard “ Rick “ Blevins on May 2, 1970 at Bartlesville, and being the racing enthusiast that they were spent the Honeymoon at the Indianapolis 500 . They made their home here all of their married life where she had worked at TRW- Reda Pump for several years, and later at the Plaza 66 Quick stop at Adams & Keeler for a number of years. For the past 15 years, her life revolved around her family and her grandchildren, as she was dedicated to picking them up and taking them to games, and other school activities. She was very dedicated in taking her granddaughter Brooklyn to her gymnastics and staying to watch her and take her home. She was an Avid OU Football fan, and was a racing fan for many years, as a fan of Rick when he raced Micro Midgets, was former secretary of the Bartlesville Micro Midget Racing Association, and sprint cars traveling to races across the area, and to Knoxville every year, a Nascar racing fan of Jeff Gordon, and had also been active in golf at Sunset Country Club as a parent team leader with both her daughter, Jennifer and son, Barry when they was playing golf and other sports activities. She was loved very much by her grandchildren who knew her as “Mimi” Beth is survived by her husband Frank Richard “Rick” Blevins of the home in Bartlesville, one son Richard Barry Blevins and wife Kelli , one daughter Jennifer Lea Shepherd all of Bartlesville, and by four grandchildren Christian Taylor Shepherd, Caden Rome Shepherd, Brooklyn Olivia Blevins and Cale Owen Blevins, all of Bartlesville, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Richard Ferrell Mc Carter. PDF Printable Version
