Sue Ann Geissler

On Christmas morning, December 25, 2018, Sue Ann Geissler living at Brookdale South in Bartlesville, Oklahoma completed her life’s journey and her long courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s dementia. Sue was born October 5, 1936, in Santa Monica, California, to Richard B. Van Blaricom and Marjorie E. Kittle Van Blaricom. Six years later, Sue, along with her older sister, Marjean Van Blaricom, and her parents moved to Coachella, California. It was during her youthful years here that she began her love of horses and became a skilled horse rider. It is also here that she met her life long friend Marilyn McCrindle. Sue met her first husband, Casper Carios “Cap” Naegle, and were married in Palm Springs, California June 14, 1958. During their marriage Cap and Sue raised three children, Dianna, Kim, and Casper. A combination of work and retirement provided them the opportunity to live in Lubbock, Bovina, and Farwell, Texas as well as Clovis, Silver City, Ruidoso. While in Ruidoso, Sue developed a passion for playing tennis which she enjoyed playing for many years and resulted in her meeting and making many life long friends. Sue left the Ruidoso area in 2003 after parting with Cap and moved to Keller, Texas where she later met and married her future husband, Rudy Geissler, with the wedding vows actually taking place during a hot air balloon flight. Sue and Rudy moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in January 2007. Sue was an active member of the Bartlesville Tennis Association for several years. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Richard B. Van Blaricom and Marjorie E. Kittle Van Blaricom, her step mother, Jana Van Blaricom, sister Marjean De Haas, son Norman Geissler; and her former husband. Sue is survived by her husband, Rudy Geissler of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Dianna Naegle Gibson and her huband Dale of Ruidoso, New Mexico; Kim Naegle Anderson and her husband, Ron of Rising Star, Texas; her sons: Casper Carlos Naegle Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; David Geissler of Knox, Indiana; Jeff Geissler and wife Jeannie of Weatherford, Texas; Douglas Geissler and his partner Peggy Watts of LaPorte, Indiana; her grandchildren: Jace, Cory and his wife Lee Anne, Kristopher, Brody and his wife Kate, Colby, Paris, Casper III, Ryan, Michael and his wife Alecia, Jeannie Maria and her husband, Matt, David, Russell; great grandchildren: Harry, Eulalie, Caiden, Bradley, Brayden; friends: Marylyn McCrindle, Linda and Charles Taylor, Ora Marie Tempton, Judy and Chip Morrison, Jane Hoover, Kay Ivey, and her many Bartlesville Tennis Association friends. A family memorial service will be scheduled in the spring when her ashes will be scatted in New Mexico in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association will be appreciated.
