Sherrill Rae Cooper

Sherrill Rae (Adams) Cooper was born on June 9th, 1969 in Sapulpa, OK to Linda (Snodgrass) Adams and Dennis Dewayne Adams. She attended Caney Elementary Schools and attended Bartlesville High Schools. Sherrill was married on September 4th, 1987 to Edmund Michael Cooper of Copan, OK. They were married for 29 years and divorced in 2016, together they raised four children. Sherrill spent most of her married life being a mother and a housewife. She was also, as I like to put it, a part time farmer, lumber jack, and hay baron. In 2005 Sherrill went to work for Bell Finance in Bartlesville, OK. Her duties included loan assessments, debt collecting, and secretarial tasks. She retired from Bell Finance in 2015. She held various part-time jobs until her health demanded that she stay at home once again. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in January 2017 and fought the good fight until her passing on December 6th, 2018. Her four children survive Sherrill. Danielle Smith and husband Joshua Smith of Copan, OK. Lindsey Cooper and spouse Matthew Roberts of Edmond, OK. Tyrell Cooper and wife Maria Cooper of Copan, OK, and Shelby Cooper of Bartlesville, OK. Sherrill also has three siblings and a stepsibling. Scott Smith and his wife Debra Smith of Mountain View, OK. Steve Smith of Caney, KS. Denise Cagle and husband Gregg Cagle of McKinleyville, CA. Stepsister, Glenda DeVillasante and husband Choby DeVillasante of Cypress, TX. Sherrill has eleven grandchildren, soon to be twelve. Riley Tucker, Drake Tucker, Brittany Smith, Lily Smith, Aiden Roberts, Faye Roberts, Baby Roberts on the way, Madison Cooper, Wesley Cooper, Dameon Harper, Hazelin Harper, and Jennifer Harper. Many friends, nieces and nephews also survive her. Her father Dennis Adams and mother Linda Palmer preceded her in death. The family would like to thank Hopestone Cancer Support Center of Bartlesville, OK. Comforting Hands Hospice of Bartlesville, OK. Also, The Journey Home hospice, of Bartlesville, OK. Services will be held on Saturday the 15th of December at 11 A.M. at the Amazing Grace Community Church, 206 N. Vine Street, Caney, Kansas 67333.
