Rosalie Ladd

Rosalie Ladd, 84, loving widow of Robert Ray Ladd and mother, grandmother and recent great grandmother, passed away Monday morning December 14, 2015 surrounded by family and friends that loved her. Rosie was born January 25, 1931 in Dewey, OK to parents Juan and Mary (Leon) Murguia. She attended school in Dewey, Oklahoma and was a member of the graduating class of 1950. On December 10, 1952 Rosie married Bob Ladd in Bartlesville, OK. Rosie enjoyed taking road trips with Bob, friends and family and they enjoyed rides in the country to look at the ever-changing foliage and looking for unique rocks for their flower beds. She enjoyed shopping and antiquing with friends and family and her daughter and granddaughter have followed her in that tradition. She loved working in her home and in her yard. You would rarely see Rosie sitting around, she was always busy doing something around town or around the house. Rosie also liked to cook and bake for her family, friends and church. Everyone will truly miss her raisin pecan pie, pecan pie and her lemon cake. Faith and family were always the most important part of her life. She treasured her quiet and devotion time with God daily and was a prayer warrior. She cherished her church family, as they were an important part of her life for over 60 years. Rosie impacted the lives of the people she touched and she will be missed for her love, care and concern that she showed to each and every person that came in contact with her. Her husband Bob preceded Rosie in death in April of 2014. They were devoted to one another and now they are together again and sharing that time in heaven with all their loved family and friends that preceded Bob and Rosie. Survivors include her two children, Karen Ladd of Bartlesville, OK and Bill and his wife Teri of Tulsa, OK; Grandchildren Mindy Ladd of Broken Arrow, OK, and Daniel Ladd and his wife Brandi of Broussard, LA; and a great grandson, Brody Ray Ladd of Broussard, LA. Also surviving Rosie are her sisters, Jessie Krider, Virginia Thomison and her husband Bob, Theresa Workman Huntley, her brothers, Albert Murguia and his wife Betty, and David Murguia and his wife Louise and her sister-in-law Ruth Ladd. She also leaves so many nieces and nephews that loved their Aunt Rosie dearly. Rosie also leaves many dear friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Rosie Ladd will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the First Church of God, 222 S.E. Osage, Dewey, OK. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at First Church of God, Dewey, OK. Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1600 S.E. Washington, Bartlesville, OK.
