Ronald Lee “Ronnie” “Moose” Morris Graveside services for Ronald Lee “Ronnie” “Moose” Morris will be Sunday November 1, 2015 at 1 pm at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah, OK.. Ronald Lee Morris was born June 30, 1952 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Jimmy Tad and Lucille Morris. Ron had one brother, Billy Joe . Ron was a member of the Creek Indian Tribe. Ron married Beverly Carpenter in, April 1981 and made their home in Denver City, Texas for 15 years. . Beverly passed away on October 20, 2009. On June 28, 2002, Ron married Kay Robinson Baker in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They lived most of their 13 years together in Bartlesville, OK. Ron served his country in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975. He spent time in Vietnam, Thailand and Laos and special assignments stateside. Upon discharge from the Air Force with the rank of SGT, Ron attended Central State University in Edmond, Ok.. Ron had two children: April Renea Tapaha and husband Travis of Denver City, Texas and Clayson James.Morris and wife, Davina of Bartlesville, OK. Ron had one grandson Tadan Tapaha of whom he was very proud and recently got to see play football for the Denver City Mustangs 7th grade team... Ron had several collections including hot wheel cars, coins, swords, guns and DVDs. His interests included classic cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed tinkering and building things. He was talented in many areas, Many of his friends described him as funny and an all-around great guy. He will be greatly missed. Ron had several jobs during his lifetime including Shell Oil in Denver City, Texas, PNM San Juan generating station in Farmington, New Mexico, Auto Zone in Owasso, OK, Jem Engineering in Tulsa and ,most recently, City of Tulsa as a plant operator , retiring in August 2015. . Ron passed away at his home in Bartlesville on October 22, 2015 at the age of 63. Ron requested cremation and to have his ashes spread near the gravesites of his mother, Lucille and brother Bill.
