Mr. Rickey Lee “Rick” Wood Mr. Rickey Lee “Rick” Wood, 67, of Dewey, died at 12:15 P.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 following an illness of several months. Funeral services for Mr. Wood will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Dewey with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the American Cancer Society, 4110 South 100th East Ave., Suite 101, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74146. Mr. Wood was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on June 9, 1947 to Wilburn Nolen Wood and Normalea (Swayne) Wood. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville graduating from College High School in 1965. He then attended Oklahoma State University at Stillwater and Northeastern State at Tahlequah until returning to Bartlesville. He was married to Sandra Kay Conner on December 25, 1969 in Dewey and they made their home initially in Bartlesville. They later moved to Dewey to make their home and have resided there since that time. Mr. Wood was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in the late 1960’s in the Gas Accounting Group and in the early 1970’s was employed with Cities Service Oil Company. He then began Lynnwood Plumbing which he owned and operated for several years. In 1979 he began his employment with Applied Automation which later became ABB from which he retired in 2010. He liked to hunt and fish and was a member of the Bartlesville Bass Masters and Stump Jumpers fishing clubs. He was the family chauffer for all types of events and activities and he also portrayed the cartoon character “Goofy” with Terry and Friends at different events for a number of years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dewey. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Sandy of the home, two children, Amber Quillin and husband Rob of Bartlesville and Kevin Wood and wife Shari of Blackwell, Okla., two brothers, Dana N. Wood of Oklahoma City and Robin A. Wood of Tulsa, a sister, Mitzie Anderson and husband Bob of Bartlesville, five grandchildren, Kassidy Quillin, Kyle Quillin, Haydn Wood, Cooper Wood and Jericah Wood, a brother-in-law, Rodger Conner of Moore, Okla., a sister-in-law, Judy Conner of Morris, Okla., and several nieces and nephews.
