Richard Andrew Grim

Richard Andrew “Andy” Grim went Home on March 28, 2023, after a long illness. He was born on July 20, 1950, in Hominy, Oklahoma to Richard Udel “Dick” Grim and Mary Ann Mathis Grim. He lived in Oklahoma, California, Kansas, and Texas. When Andy was in first grade the family moved to Pampa, Texas, later they moved to Borger, Texas. He was a member of the optimist club where he won several first-place trophies in boxing. Andy was saved and baptized in the Christian Church in Healdton, Oklahoma. When Andy was in the eleventh grade the family moved to Barnsdall, Oklahoma. In 1969 Andy graduated from Barnsdall High School. After graduation, he went to work in the oil fields, then, he worked in Bartlesville, Oklahoma as an auto mechanic. In October of 1971, Andy met Georgia Jean “Jeanie” Carter. In May of 1972, Andy and Jeanie got married. They welcomed their first child in December of 1973 and their second child in 1976. Andy, Jeanie, and their boys, Charlie and Richard, made their home in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Andy played guitar in the same band for 30 years. He liked hunting, fishing, camping, working on his old cars, and spending time with family. Andy was a jack of all trades and a master of all. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Mary Ann Grim; son, Charlie Grim; sister, Lory Martin; and two great grandchildren, Riley and Daniel Weeks. Andy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanie Carter Grim of Barnsdall, OK; son, Richard Edward Grim and fiancé Shannon Head of Oolagah, OK; brother, David Grim of Bartlesville, OK; daughter-in-law, Melissa Grim of Barnsdall, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Bonnie Carter of Graford, TX; grandchildren, Clerissa Grim of Dewey, OK, Shannon Grim of Barnsdall, OK, Jatanna Grim of Barnsdall, OK, Tommy Grimm and wife Brandi of Bartlesville, OK, Shakota Grim of Wynona, OK, and Layne Grim of Oolagah, OK; great grandchildren, Mason Grim, Charlie Kay Sharnhorst, Asher Grim, Braxton Richard, Hutson Richard, Kotalynn Richard, and Tucker Beats; honorary sons, James Hogue and wife Debbie of Barnsdall, OK, Jonathon Bogan and wife Tiffany of Terlton, OK, Stony Goad and wife Christina of Dewey, OK, and Josh Gillett and wife Michelle of Aurora, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
