Rhonda Jean Reeder

On Friday February 12, 2021 Rhonda Jean Reeder, Loving Wife and Mother of three children passed away at the age of 63. Rhonda was born on January 9, 1958. She married Jon Reeder on June 21, 1984. Rhonda was a warm, loving and forgiving person. She never met a stranger. Rhonda graduated from Skiatook High School in 1976, she Joined the Army July 1976 and served her country for a brief period of time. She took classes at the Bartlesville vocational school to earn a PN (Practical Nursing diploma) and went on to study at Coffeyville Kansas Community College to earn her Associate degree in Arts and become an LPN. She worked for several years for Nurse Finders, a company that contracted Nurses to various facilities that needed extra staffing. She has worked in hospitals, rehab centers, nursing homes and private care. She spent time in the ER and the OR. She absolutely loved being a nurse and helping people. She was severely injured by a patient in 1999 but recovered and returned to work. She had an on-the-job injury in the early 2000’s and had to go on disability. She was never able to return to nursing which broke her heart. She always talked about missing that part of her life. Rhonda was an ordained minister and performed a few marriages but her passion other than being a nurse was helping people. If she knew of someone in need, she would do whatever she could to help them. She loved to go to garage sales and find things that she thought other people might need and put them away until the right person in need for them popped up on her radar. Rhonda loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was always looking for some little something to give them for special occasions. She enjoyed seeing the looks on their faces when they opened the gifts. She enjoyed family get togethers and having all of her kids and Grandchildren around her. Rhonda love to travel and we did a lot of that together. We have been to all the states in the lower half of the country from the east coast to the west coast. We traveled to the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful beaches of St. Petersburg Florida. We have been to Mexico, Australia, Costa Rica and Panama. Any time we were anywhere close to the ocean, she wanted to go to any saltwater aquarium around. She loved the exotic fish of the ocean and their bright color. Whenever we went to the beach, she would spend hours picking up shells and pebbles. She always made sure to get enough to share with the grand kids. Her favorite creature of the sea was the Dolphins. She could watch them for hours. Rhonda had a heart of gold and put everyone else before herself. She touched and helped so many people, there is no way to know just how many people she did help. She will be missed by many people but mostly by me. She was the love of my life and my travel companion. She was preceded in death by her parents Dearl and Dorothy, Nephew JD, and Granddaughter Carly Joe. She is survived by Her husband Jon, their oldest daughter Crystal and her husband and Children Brianna, Kyle, Dakota, Cheyenne and Whitney.; their son Brandon and his wife and children Ashten, Kaitlyn, and Aunaleigh; youngest daughter Michelle and her husband and children Dustin, DJ, Kara, Bailey, JT, and Payten and her Brothers Wayne and Roger and their families. She is also survived by her first Great Grandson Nova Kai Fletcher, Brandon and Melissa’s first Grandson. She never got the opportunity to hold him, but she at least got to see pictures of him.
