Phyllis Marline Blevins

Phyllis Marline Blevins passed away on April 3rd, 2025, at the age of 81, after a life filled with love. Known for her strong will and unwavering faith, Phyllis was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives through her service to all those around her. She was a proud native and resident of Bartlesville, and longstanding pillar of Bartlesville Tabernacle. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and is survived by her 5 Daughters Jeanette Hurst, Patricia Blevins, Brenda Bevers (Don Bevers), Rebecca Hulsey (Brian Hulsey), and Sarah Haywood. Phyllis was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, as well as the extensive list of loved ones privileged enough to have known her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, M.V. “Tiny” Kahler and Doris Kahler, her brother, Kenneth Kahler, and her husband, Billy Dale Blevins. Her most fulfilling moments, comprised of trail riding through rivers and hills on her beloved companion Cheyenne, who met her at the gates of heaven. When she wasn’t out with Cheyenne, you would find her cracking pecans while talking about family history at the dinner table and laughing at her great grandchildren’s many antics. Her favorite memories to recount were those she shared with her numerous wonderful Kahler cousins, at their summer family reunions. No one could know what to say in this moment, better than Phyllis herself. She left one of her favorite poems by an unknown author, for her family to read at the time of her passing. We would like to share some of it with all those that knew her. “When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for meI wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn't get to sayI know how much you care for me, and how much I care for you, and each time that you think of me I know you'll miss me too But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand, and said my place was ready in heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly loveI thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had. If I could relive yesterday, just for a while, I'd say goodbye and hug you and maybe see you smile. But when I walked through Heaven's gates, I felt so much at home. For God looked down and smiled at me, and told me “Welcome home” So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, please know I'm in your heart.” Services will be held April 12th at 11:00am Bartlesville Tabernacle, 1326 S West 15th Bartlesville, OK 74003. Everyone that knew her is welcome to attend.
