NANCY CORRINE WOODLEY Nancy Corrine (Shepard) Woodley passed away on November 4, 2015 in Bartlesville, OK at the age of 74. Nancy was born on April 29, 1941 in Ravanna, MO to Hollie Clifford and Ruth (Gilbert) Shepard. She lived in the Mercer, MO area throughout her childhood and graduated from Mercer School in 1958. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Winton Woodley on May 15, 1959. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and finally Oklahoma when their first grandchild was born there in 1982. Throughout the years after her children entered school, Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses. She was still working as a part-time bookkeeper at the time of her death. She also was a volunteer at Jane Phillips Hospital. Nancy was always baking cinnamon rolls to give to special friends. And, every December, she would start making divinity, fudge and peanut brittle to give as gifts for Christmas. About 10 years ago, she decided to start making quilts. She made several double wedding ring quilts as gifts. She also made quilts for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her dogs and cats and thoroughly enjoyed watching the young calves playing in the pasture outside her kitchen window. Nancy is survived by two daughters, Debbie Crume and husband, Jim, of Dewey, OK and Denise Blecha and husband, Darrel, of Independence, KS; two sons, Doug Woodley of Bartlesville, OK and David Woodley and wife, Lisa, of Grayling, MI. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Bob Crume and wife, Danae, of Lakewood, CO, Jenni Burke and husband, David, of Brighton, CO, Chris Finney and wife, Krissy, of Tyro, KS, Logan Woodley and Natalie Woodley, both of Grayling, MI; three and ½ great-grandchildren, Anna and Clay Crume, Paisley Finney and Baby Boy Burke who is expected in March of next year. She is also survived by her brother, Herbert Shepard and his wife, Carol, of Chanute, KS and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Winton, her parents and a brother, Hubert. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 7 at 2:00pm at Stumpff Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will be on Monday, November 9 at 2:00pm at Underwood Cemetery in Mercer, MO.
