Mary Rosanne Schroeder

Mary Rosanne Schroeder, affectionately known as Roz, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, at the age of 73, surrounded by the warmth and care of her family in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Roz was born on September 21, 1950, in Vincennes, Indiana. Roz was the oldest of ten children and a woman of many talents. She loved the professions she had in her life including: Billiard Newspaper Entrepreneur, Truck Driver, Welding Instructor, Masseuse, and Martha’s Task Seamstress. Roz also embraced a variety of hobbies with enthusiasm. She had a knack for billiards, an eye for sewing, Webkinz and a heart full of love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—who were the light of her life. Her dedication to her family and her hobbies brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Roz is preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Joseph Rall & Evelyn Joan (Payne), as well as her significant other, Jim Pennington. She is survived by two children: Richard Schroeder (Shiela); and Victoria Smith (Scott). Six grandchildren: Jake Schroeder, Kayla McGraw (Kenny), Zack Schroeder, Stephanie Hunt (Caleb), Erin Smith (Randall Jr.), and Jossie Maston (Colton). Eight Great grandchildren: Joseph, Elsie, Christopher, William, Timothy, Kasen, Madilyn, and Randall III, and nine siblings: Cindy Howder (Steve), Bill Rall (Dorcas), Brenda Connors (Gary), Mike Rall (Diana), David Rall (Victoria), Francis Rall (Linda), Christopher Rall (Carolyn), Jim Rall (Lisa), and Susan Rall, as well as several nieces and nephews. Roz's sassy and fun personality left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her thoughtfulness and carefree spirit were a testament to her zest for life. Roz's presence was a source of joy and laughter, and she enriched the lives of her family and friends with her unique charm. The Journey Home hospice house staff provided tremendous comfort and support to Roz in her final days, ensuring she was surrounded by compassion and care. Most of her family was able to visit and share precious moments with her, a testament to the strong bonds she cultivated throughout her life. Roz will be deeply missed by her surviving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, many nieces and nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the memories they shared. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Martha’s Task and/or The Journey Home, both in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
