Mary A Gray

Mary Arlene Gailey Gray, born December 18, 1937, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed from this life on June 23, 2026, at her home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of her family. Mary grew up in Ochelata, Oklahoma, and built a life marked by faith, devotion, hard work, and fierce love for her family. She was married to Donald LeRoy Gray on June 17, 1956, and together they made their home in several states including California, Arkansas and eventually settling back in Oklahoma to raise their family. Mary worked in the oil and gas industry in a secretarial role while also raising her family. She was a woman who knew how to work hard, love deeply, and pray faithfully. A longtime member of the Assembly of God church, her faith was not something she simply talked about—it was something she lived every day. Those who knew Mary knew she was a true prayer warrior. She prayed daily for her family, her friends, and anyone she believed needed the Lord’s help. Her family was her greatest earthly joy, and she loved them fiercely. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her brothers Glenn, John, Ted, Bill, Ert and her sister Violet, her brothers in law Dale and Bob, her sisters in laws Betty, Dorothy and Nancy Gray. Mary’s legacy lives on through her children Ray (Regina) Gray, Kay (Garyon) Richey, Jerry (Marya) Gray; and her grandchildren: Chris(Erin) Gray, Jennifer(Gil)Dupont, Heather(Aaron) Gibbs, April(Justin) Cowart, Braxton(Jordan) Clopp, Jared(Holland)Gray, and Hannah Gray; and her great-grandchildren: Caden Gray, Ashlyn Gibbs, Decklyn and Braelyn Gibbs, Haisley and Stratton Cowart, Hudson and Everleigh Clopp, Rosie, Graceland, and Rocklan Gray. She is also survived by her brother V.A.(Val) Gailey of California, sister-in-law Mary Francis Gailey along with several nieces and nephews. Marriage didn't just bring Mary a husband; it gave her a larger family to love. Donald's brothers and sisters became her own, and she cherished each of them throughout her life. Surviving Mary are Lenora (Willard) Fugate of Colorado, Delores (Donnie) King of Texas, Janette Gray of Kansas, Wayne (Janice)Gray of Arkansas, Lola (Darrell)Barnes of Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home, with family visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Spirit Church.
