Mary Ann Clark

Mary Ann Clark was a caring wife, mother of five daughters, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She left this world to enter her eternal home in heaven on January 4, 2022 at age 88. She was born to Fay and Dora Facker on December 22, 1933 in Drumright, OK. Mary Ann grew up in Drumright. During a career day event in high school, she was asked what she wanted to be after graduating. She responded by stating she wanted to be a “mother” with several kids. She has always loved children. She was a rainbow girl and Lion’s club sweetheart during high school. During her youth and young adult life, she loved music, took many years of piano lessons, and sang in church and school choirs for several years. She spent one year at OSU, where she studied secretarial/business courses and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. In the spring of 1952, she met and started dating a softball player on her father’s Industrial League team. Jack pursued her relentlessly, courted and wooed her until she consented to marry him. After Jack spent one year in the US Army and Mary Ann one year at OSU, they were married June 26, 1953, in the Drumright First United Methodist Church. Mary Ann was active in many church activities and particularly in a music program at Borger Methodist Church and Phillips Methodist Church. During the young years of all 5 daughters, Mary Ann led them to church activities and always took them to various school and church activities. She always insisted on knowing who they were with and raised them all very responsibly. The family grew and now there are the 5 daughters and their husbands, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. All are much loved. Mary Ann volunteered at various organizations, including Jane Phillips Memorial Hospital. Her church life has always included lots of music activities. She has led many children and youth choirs over the years and until recent years, participated in the church choir at East Cross United Methodist Church. Mary Ann has always been a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She is a much appreciated and loved wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Mary Ann is survived by Jack, her husband of 68 years; five daughters and their husbands, Janet and Bob Ingham of Canyon, TX, Kathy and Terry Christian of Bartlesville, OK, Christie and Richard Goode of Keller, TX, Terri and Damon Simpson of Porter, TX, and Lori and Kylie Bradley of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Kim Hopson and her husband Chris, Scott Ingham and his wife Erinn, Amy Gamez and her husband Rene, Tommy Christian and his wife Lindsey, Jessica Goode, Clark Goode, Brennen Simpson, Kali Simpson, Keelan Bradley, Levi Bradley, Kelby Bradley, Logan Bradley, and adopted granddaughter, Kristin Tilley and husband Ben. She leaves behind 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Dora Facker, 1 sister, and 4 brothers.
