Martha Ross Meadors

MARTHA ROSS MEADORS Martha Ross Meadors, of Bartlesville, born January 31, 1948, left for her eternal home June 26, 2014, surrounded by her family. Martha was born to Bill and Mary Jane Ross in Durant, OK. They moved to Bartlesville in the early 50’s, later moving to Copan, where she received her elementary education. Before junior high they made their final move to Dewey, where she finished school, graduating with the Class of 1966. Marti (known by most) married Gary Jackson in October of 1969. She fulfilled her dream occupation as a stay at home mom for more than 20 years to her daughters but also to any neighborhood kid that walked through her door. Once her girls were older she lived a second dream by finishing nursing school and became an LPN. She worked in several doctors offices in Bartlesville, a local home health agency and a hospice. In March of 2003, Marti married Steve Meadors. They enjoyed spending time with their grandkids most of all, but also traveled and spent a lot of time at the lake. Marti enjoyed her family most of all, her grandchildren were her biggest blessing. Marti and her family created many lifelong friends that were always considered to be part of the family. She was a loving mother, selfless and always available for her girls, family, friends even those she didn’t know well. She was extremely talented in many different areas. She was involved in many school activities, church activities and numerous pranks which she loved to pull on anyone. Martha is survived by her husband Steve Meadors, 2 daughters and their spouses, Heather and Tim Sanders of Bartlesville and Holly and Justin Lewis of Dewey, 4 grandchildren, Hunter and Taryn Sanders and Kaylee and Braden Lewis, 1 sister, Beverly Ross of Dewey and 1 brother Joe Ross of Ramona, 3 nieces, Jessica Helmer of Grove, Carrie Daniels of Bartlesville and Sonnie Jo Nelson of Ramona, 2 nephews, Layne Parham of Bartlesville and Casey Parham of Dewey, 4 great nieces and 4 great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Adams Blvd. Church of Christ. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory in Bartlesville.
