Lela Lula Ellis

MRS. LELA L. ELLIS Lela Lula (Tinsley) Ellis, 104, died Sunday morning, January 26, 2014, at the Bartlesville Health & Rehab Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Born August 27, 1909 in Scipio, Oklahoma, Lela was the first born of four children to Walter Phillip and Amanda Jane (Walker) Tinsley. The family later moved to El Reno, Oklahoma where Lela met and married William Clyde Ellis on March 17, 1928. They had two children, Edith Pauline (Ellis) Hough and Clyde Deane Ellis, who died in infancy. Through their 68 years of marriage, Lela and Clyde lived in El Reno, Hominy, Ramona and Bartlesville. Clyde preceded her in death on February 29, 1996. Lela is survived by her daughter Pauline Hough and husband Al of Bartlesville, grandson Doug Hough and partner Mary Winn Dills of Bartlesville, and grandson Dan Hough and wife Patty of Nowata, seven great grandchildren: Brandon Hough and wife Rachel of Bartlesville, Duke Reed and wife Holly of Ranch Palos Verdes, California, Corey Hough and wife Joey of Dewey, Sabrina (Reed) Willig and husband Chance of Dewey, Bo Reed of Tulsa, Cody Hough and wife Kimmy of Bartlesville and Cooper Hough, also of Bartlesville. Nine great-great grandchildren: Emalee and Anna Hough of Bartlesville, Charlie and Davy Reed of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Michael and Kody Hough of Dewey, Lane and Kali Kay Willig of Dewey and Hank Hough of Bartlesville, and a sister, Cleta Mitchell of Dell City, Oklahoma, a special friend, Sarah Winn of Bartlesville and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Clyde Deane Ellis, Granddaughter Judy Kay (Hough) Brewster, and two brothers, Walter Tinsley, Jr. and Leonard Paul Tinsley. Services for Lela will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the chapel at Stumpff Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Clark of Lynn Baptist Church in Pawhuska officiating. Burial will be in the Ramona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Hough, Duke Reed, Corey Hough, Chance Willig, Bo Reed, Cody Hough and Cooper Hough.
