Larry Edward Chinn

Larry Edward Chinn, 86, of Bowring, Oklahoma passed away June 15, 2024. He was born in Wann, Oklahoma on March 18, 1938 to Rol Chinn and Velma. He attended Bowring High School and went on to become a successful independent oil producer. He married his beloved wife Betty Lucille Wassom on November 27, 1959 and together they raised four children. Larry was a cherished patriarch whose life was a testament to grace and determination for his family. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 30 years. He achieved his pilots license and had a passion for flying/piloting small aircrafts. In 1964, he purchased his first oil lease, and developed a thriving family business. He enjoyed family vacations to the Colorado Mountains. Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, love for his family, and adventurous spirt will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents Rol and Velma Chinn; brothers Glen Chinn and Lucky Chinn, great grandson Lane Chinn. He is survived by his wife Betty Chinn; children John and Pat Chinn; Daniel and Pam Chinn; Alan and Deniece Chinn; John and Renee Bellmyer; Brothers and sisters: Butch and Sue Kothe, Ginger Chinn, Sandra Wells, Jan Chinn, John Dale and Janet Chinn, Rick and Pam Johnson; Grandchildren: Brent and Christina Chinn, Justin and Marci Chinn, Jake and Lacey Bellmyer, Mark and Haley Bellmyer, Calvin and Amanda Chinn, Dillon and Kortney Chinn, Bradley and Kristen Brower, Jessica Chinn, Kendra Chinn, Mangas Chinn, Caleb and Kelsey Bellmyer, Katie Chinn, Shiloh Chinn, Ty and Macie Chinn and 17 great grandchildren! The finest and final thing that can be said about Larry is that he rested in the grace of Jesus all his life. He understood grace and taught others how to live a life of grace. Living out grace for Larry meant that he was generous of heart. He and Betty gave generously to the very end because of grace, for the glory of God. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Carla Porter, Christina Chinn, Alexis Evans and Shelly Floyd for their sacrificial care for Larry.
