Kenneth Eugene O'Grady Kenneth Eugene O’Grady passed away Tuesday, April 19 in Bartlesville, Ok. Ken was born on June 29, 1951 in Enid, OK to Bert and Betty O’Grady. The family moved to Ponca City, OK while he was a young child, and he attended various schools in Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City High School. He earned an Associate degree at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK. In 1970, Ken married Carolyn Whitaker, and they made their home in Ponca City, and raised two sons, Kenny and Sean. In Ponca City, they were members of the Woodlands Christian Church. In 2003, they moved to Bartlesville, OK. Ken had many skills, and before his retirement, he did many different kinds of work, primarily as owner and manager of his own businesses, but also as a bartender, cowboy, and fire fighter. Ken enjoyed traveling with his wife Carolyn; spending time with his kids, Kenny, Tanya and Sean, and his little furry friend, Diamond Boo Boo. He traveled to Las Vegas and Florida numerous times with Carolyn. He loved riding his Harley with his brother David, son Sean, and friends. He enjoyed going to Sturgis ND, and Fayetteville AR. Ken loved being with all of his family, and always had a fun story to tell. He was always quick to offer help to anyone who needed it, and always ready to join in on any fun. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Bartlesville, son Kenny and daughter in law Tanya, of Collinsville, and son Sean of Tulsa; his brothers Tom and wife Pat, of Pagosa Springs, CO, and David and wife Jacque of Ponca City; his mother in law Frances Whitaker of Ponca City, brothers and sisters in law Tom and Virginia Sullivan of Maysville, AR, Dewey and Janette Whitaker of Ponca City, and David and Gail Johnson of Bartlesville; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Viewing will be at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, OK, with family visitation on Friday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Services will be Saturday, April 23rd at 2:00 pm at the Woodlands Christian Church in Ponca City, OK, with Tom Nace presiding, followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery. The family will gather at the church for lunch at noon. Pall bearers will be Ed Sullivan, Cole Sullivan, Jake Sullivan, Daniel Whitaker, Blaine Johnson, Raul Salinas, Jr. Honorary pall bearers will be Tom Sullivan, Dewey Whitaker and David Johnson.
