Juanita Wyvone Hardman

Wyvone Hardman was determined to see if there really was a rock ‘n’ roll heaven and left this world on February 29,2020. True to form she passed away on a leap year. She always said the W for Wyvone also stood for weird. Wyvone served in a variety of civic capacities, Girl Scout leader to all three of her daughters, nursery school teacher, Sunday school teacher, volunteer for Meals on Wheels, PTA member and countless other volunteer positions for three generations of children. We can’t remember everything she did for us as kids, sorry mom we didn’t take notes. She was known for being a stickler for table manners and for correcting one’s grammar, also for three generations of children. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone in her home (2 or 4 legged). Unfortunately, her filing system consisted of the sofa, table, chair or any flat surface so one often might not be able to find a place to sit. She enjoyed cheating at cards, singing to classic rock, being with family, especially if they completed her “errand list” of 1,000 things and places, and reading anything she could get her hands on. She also enjoyed sharing “stories”. Each Christmas three generations of children were gifted the infamous bottomless gift bag, usually consisting of strange one of a kind clearance items, she had collected over the year. If there were three of the same shirts on sale you received all three shirts. Naturally, these bags were all prepared with love. Wyvone was a doomsday prepper before it was cool. During the zombie apocalypse one might dine on 10 pounds of pinto beans and industrial size jars of spaghetti sauce from 1999. And again, all would be welcomed. She was preceded in death by the father of her four children, Jerry Lee Hardman, whom she loved to her dying day. She leaves behind her children Cindy Dunn (Darrell), Rebecka Harris (Tracie), Karen Demeny, and Jerry Hardman Jr., siblings Jule Maskrod (Sheryl), Janet Shrum, Merry Johnson (Loren). Wyvone also danced and air drummed her way out on a plethora of grandkids (18!), great-grandkids (6!), nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
