JEREMIAH D. SHAFFER Jeremiah (Miah) Dewayne Shaffer 26, of Copan suddenly passed away at his home on May 26, 2016. Miah was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Nellie (Dry) Patterson and Roger W. Shaffer on June 30, 1989. Miah attended the Copan School system prior to transferring to Bartlesville High School, where he graduated in 2008. After graduation, Miah married the love of his life, April Gardner, on November 1, 2008 in Ochelata, Oklahoma. He held several jobs in the food industry prior to working for Dewey Oil Field Pipe and Supply. Miah loved spending time with his two boys, fishing and camping. He loved the outdoors and hanging out with friends and family. Miah was also an avid writer of poems and easily expressed his feelings through his work. Miah is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie (Dry) Patterson of Claremore, Oklahoma, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Abrams of Claremore, Oklahoma, paternal grandfather Evan Shaffer of Caney, Kansas, son Chance Bentley Shaffer of Copan, Oklahoma, cousins Mark Leal Jr. of West Palm Beach, Florida and Marcus Perdasofpy- Leal of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Miah is survived by his wife, April Shaffer of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, sons Jayden and Jaxon Shaffer of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, brothers Cody Shaffer of Cushing, Oklahoma and Justin Shaffer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sister Tommie Keene of Winfield, Kansas, father Roger W. Shaffer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, grandmother Jessica Shaffer of Copan, Oklahoma, aunt and uncle Michelle and Adam Duncan of Katy, Texas, great aunt and uncle Vicki and Mike Wade of Copan, Oklahoma, childhood friend Chad Mohundro of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
