Gregory Paul Spencer

Gregory Paul Spencer was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on October 18, 1958. He passed away on the evening of February 22, 2024, at the early age of 65 after a very sudden decline in his health with his grandson Tristin Reeves and his wife Amanda and their children by his side. Greg was preceded by both parents Frank and Isla Spencer. He is survived by his seven siblings, sister Judith Vaughn and her husband Donald of Lake Helan, FL., sister Linda Spencer of Bartlesville, brother Mark Spencer and his wife Diana of Bixby and their children and grandchildren, sister Margaret Bouvier and her husband Michael of Bartlesville and her children, sister Bernadette Spencer and B.J. Hargrave of Essex Junction, Vermont. and her son, brother John Spencer of Forsyth, MO and his children, and brother Eric Spencer and Gerard Cloete of Cape Town, South Africa. Greg is also survived by loyal friends and extended family. Greg has left his earthly life to soon leaving behind his daughter Kathryn Chambers and husband David of Bartlesville and their children, sons, Steven Spencer of Kansas City and Everett Spencer of Pawhuska and his children and grandchildren and his beloved Bayley. Gregory spent his younger years in Pawhuska, left for college and came back to teach and make a difference in his community. In 1987, he led the local vocational carpentry class to start renovations on the Constantine Theater where he left his handcrafted talent of the detailed masks of comedy and tragedy proudly displayed at the entrance. He also seen the need and was the Mayor of Pawhuska for a term. Later in life, Greg continued with his passion of carpentry and construction which brought on a long-time friendship with David Baker and many others that will miss him dearly. His love of the arts was shared when he would entertain and light up a room with song and dance. Greg recently found the same love for pipes that his father had and opened Bayley Pipe Shop and Museum where he proudly collected varieties of beautiful pipes, his carved Meerschaum collection was his pride and joy. Greg never met a stranger and always knew how to carry on a good conversation. He will be deeply missed.
