Mrs. Dorothy A. (Taylor) Nowlin Mrs. Dorothy A. (Taylor) Nowlin, 94, died at 11:55 P.M. on Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 AM. Wednesday, June 22nd at the Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Mrs. Nowlin was born at McAlester, Oklahoma on September 2, 1921 to Robert Marion Minton and Ollie Priscilla (Thompson) Minton. She grew up and received her education in San Angelo, Texas, attended Texas State College for Women and later earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia. She was married to Clyde Henry Taylor at Lubbock, Texas in 1942 and they made their homes in the San Angelo and Midland, Texas areas until he preceded her in death. She was later married to Robert Frank Nowlin and he also preceded her in death. She had been active as a teacher in Branson, Missouri and in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and has made her home at Owasso, Oklahoma for the past five years. After her retirement she enjoyed golfing and playing the piano; as well as creating many beautiful watercolors paintings. Mrs. Nowlin is survived by her son, Ray Taylor and wife Carolyn of Owasso, Okla., and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, both spouses, and a daughter, Carole Kay Urban.
