Donna Rae Richey

Donna Rae Richey Born April 3, 1933 in Newkirk, OK to Frank and Christine Mefford. Donna earned her eternal reward of heaven on Wednesday January 20, 2016 in Bartlesville, OK. She was married to Charles Richey on Feb 10, 1951 in Lead Hill, AR. Donna was a graduate of Arkansas City High School in Arkansas City, KS in 1951 and graduated from CitiLife School of Ministry of Tulsa, OK in May of 2001 at the age of 68 years. Charles and Donna served in full time ministry together for over 60 years. They pastored churches in Webb City OK, Ramona OK, Kansas City KS and Sand Springs OK. She served on the National Ladies Ministries of Service team with The Church of God of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. She and Charles traveled the country in their early days of ministry in revivals and leading the National Youth Ministry of COGAF. Donna’s love for her Lord Jesus Christ was contagious. She gave her life to Christ at the age of 6 and walked with Him the rest of her life. There was a special grace on Donna’s life for prayer and the presence of the Lord. Even as a child there were those who wanted the “young girl” to pray for them as God answered her prayers. Many of us have been recipient of her prayers throughout our lives. Such a great anointing was evident on her life especially at times of singing, playing the piano or organ and teaching Bible classes. She was a choir director for many years and had great passion for helping young people discover and develop their musical abilities. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, sister Yvonne Foster and daughters Rhonda Jo & Diana Lea Richey. She is survived by her husband Charles Richey of Bartlesville OK, her sons Garyon and wife Kay of Owasso, Jack and wife Jana of Ramona Brothers Harvey and wife Fern Mefford of Arkansas City KS, Dale and wife Sue Mefford of Sand Springs OK, Brother in law Jack Foster of Continental Divide NM, Sisters Gail and husband Herschel Gammill of Canton OH, Mary and husband Jimmie Deans of Rocky Mount NC, Cheryl and husband Doug Graham of Arkansas City KS Grandchildren Mandi, Taylor, Braiden, Michael, Ashlynn, April and Braxton Great grandchildren Shilo, Noah, Trace, Auria, Tinley, Haisley and Stratton Multiple nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. Visitation with family and friends will be held at the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Happy Hill Church at Ramona with Pastor Jack Richie officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. on Monday at the Newkirk Cemetery at Newkirk, Oklahoma directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home.
