Deborah Kay French

Deborah Kay French passed away on September 1, 2023. She was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Terrel and Charlotte Taylor on June 7th, 1962. She was the third born of five children. From a young age Debbie had a love for the arts. She was always using her wit and creativity to keep her friends and family entertained. She was actively involved in choir and the newspaper throughout her high school and college years. She graduated from College High School in 1980 with many academic achievements and scholarships. Debbie chose to continue her education at Harding University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in education. She spent her life following that calling. Debbie married James French Jr. on November 29th, 1986, in their hometown and shortly after journeyed to Zimbabwe, Africa to teach at Nhowe Mission School. Upon returning to the United States, she continued to teach children within the local school system. Debbie was an educator with Bartlesville Public Schools for thirty years where she poured into the lives of countless children. She did her most important work within her home as a dedicated wife, mother and friend using her time and talents to bless those around her. She will be remembered for her authentic personality and selflessness towards others. She was proceeded in death by her father Terrel Taylor as well as her mother-in-law, Carol French. She is survived by her husband, James French Jr., children Brad & Hannah Grimm, granddaughter Naomi Grimm, Joel & Julia French, grandson Elijah French, Jim French Sr., Angela Boulanger, John French, Charlotte Taylor, Terri Taylor, Brent Taylor, Toby Taylor, and Greg Taylor as well as their spouses, children, and many other extended family members. A Victory Service in celebration of Debbie's life will be held at Tyro Christian Church, Saturday September 16th, 2023, at two o'clock in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, Debbie wished for donations to be made in her name to Colorado Christian Services Adoption Agency.
