David Paul Cooper

David Paul Cooper of Bartlesville OK, passed away on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and was the son of Paul M. Cooper and Iris Faye (Irwin) Cooper. David was born on January 27, 1957. He has an older sister, and two younger brothers. Dave loved recounting fun childhood days, including camping on the family property in PA, and gathering with the family at Cape Cod. Growing up on the East Coast means shore fun! Dave had fond memories of time at the Jersey shore with family and friends. The shore remained a life-long favorite happy-place for him. He loved recalling the sights, sounds and tastes of the shore; the seagulls, boardwalk hot dogs and fries, and the ever-present recording, "Watch the tramcar please, Watch the tramcar please". Later Dave discovered the computer lab at the junior college, which marked the very beginning of a long love-affair with computers, and it served him well for nearly 50 years, as a programmer, software engineer, applications architect and more. He always said programming computers was like working a puzzle, finding one piece, then another piece falls into place. He never tired of the computer/ IT world and was often referred to as "the trouble-shooter". Dave also loved music, from Classical to Classic Rock, even composing many beautiful pieces he had hoped to get memorialized in a finished product. He encouraged both his daughters, Emily and Kate, in music and enjoyed coaching, and attending all their concerts. After becoming a Christian, Dave was just as diligent with their spiritual training. His discipline to teach, train and guide his daughters never weakened, nor wavered. He prayed for their spiritual well-being (and later his grandchildren's' well-being also), every single night up to the point of his passing. Dave married his second wife (Janie) in 1998 and added her two grandchildren to his prayer list as well. Altogether, 10 grandchildren, had Dave and Janie travelling all over the country for hiking, romping around in the woods, discussing action movies, watching baseball games, fishing, marveling at the latest American Girl outfits and critiquing new hairdos and nail polish colors. Dave and Janie's greatest loves and most beautiful treasures on earth are their grandchildren and thanked their heavenly Father every day for those blessings. Dave and Janie enjoyed 27 years together, taking walks, browsing antique shops, hosting friends, as well as enjoying their spiritual growth together. Dave's positive influence on the Kingdom, his family, and everyone who knew him cannot be measured. Dave is survived by his wife, Janie Cooper; his mother, Faye Marchione and her husband Larry; his sister Lynne Cooper; his brother Richard; his brother James and his wife Shelley, their children: Morgan, Mason and Molly; his daughter Emily Schneider and her husband Steve, their children: Owen, Ella, Maya and Lucy; his daughter Katherine Sharp and her husband Jim, their boys: Nathan, Daniel, Elijah, and Silas; stepson and mate, Jason Boyle and Jenny Szabo and Jenny's daughter Catherine; stepson Justin Boyle and his wife Sarah, their children: Grayson and Darby. Dave was preceded in death by his father Paul M. Cooper Visitation is Thursday, July 31st, 5:00-7:00pm at Stumpff Funeral Home,1600 S Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK. The funeral service is on Friday, Aug 1st, 2:00 pm at Hope Presbyterian Church, 900 S. Dewey, Bartlesville OK
