Cynthia Gayle “Cindy” Gillam Cynthia Gayle “Cindy” Gillam, 58, of Dewey, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Dewey Christian Church with Casey Parham officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. The Gillam family will have a reception to receive friends at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. A memorial has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Washington County SPCA, 16620 State Highway 123, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003. Cynthia was born at Appleton City, Missouri on October 7, 1954 to Kermit and Doris (Burns) Moffatt. She grew up in Butler, Missouri area and graduated from high school there. She served in the U.S. Army and received an Honorable Discharge. She was married to Pete Taylor for 13 years and they made their home at various locations during his military service. She came to the Bartlesville area in 1990 and she was married to Donald George Gillam in Bartlesville on January 19, 1991. They have made their home in the Bartlesville/Dewey area since that time. She enjoyed working with patients in the medical field. She was a member of the Dewey Christian Church and was a volunteer for the SPCA. She was always busy, loved to garden and work in her yard, took in stray animals, loved to travel and had walked in several marathons. In earlier years she was involved in showing horses with her daughter and in recent years was passionate about her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Donald G. Gillam, one daughter, Leigh Bird and husband Ryan of Sublette, Kansas, a grandson, Kyler Bird, a granddaughter, Avery Bird, her mother and step-father, Doris and Bob Mills of Butler, Missouri, four sisters, Cherie Moffatt of Butler, Missouri, Candy Dunlap of Bartlesville, Kim McMillian of Nixa, Missouri, and Lynn Artz of Willard, Missouri, and one brother, Tim Moffatt of Willard, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father, Kermit Moffatt and by her previous husband, Pete Taylor. PDF Printable Version
