Clinton Joseph Norris

Clinton Joseph Norris was born November 25, 1977, in Pittsburg Kansas. Clint was an adorable, smart, outgoing, happy kid who loved life and always brought a smile to everyone’s face. He grew up attending Dewey schools and Dewey church of Christ. As a kid he loved playing sports including soccer, football, basketball and baseball and excelled in track where he not only was a fast runner but a great high jumper as well. He loved being outside and playing at home with his little brother Josh and all the animals. The joy of his life was his two sons, Trevor now 25, and Taylor 22 and later in life his two grandchildren Eliza age 5 and Oliver 17 months. He loved them deeply and loved being a dad and loved being a Papa. As an adult, Clint excelled in many jobs in the aviation industry at Nordam in Tulsa and Cessna Aircraft Independence. He was also selected to train for the Mustang Jet program. He made many good friends throughout his career and he always loved working in the aviation industry. Throughout his life he maintained a love for camping and fishing for bass and especially trout fishing with his family at Roaring River. He also loved Harley motorcycles, Chevy trucks, classic cars, and Oklahoma Sooner football where each game day Clint would be seen wearing his OU good luck hats, shirts and anything else he thought would bring the Sooners the luck they needed to win. The family has lots of memories of Clint dancing, screaming and doing all sorts of crazy moves during OU football games. He was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Hayden Halliburton and Francis (Slick) Norris, grandmothers Mildred Hudson Halliburton and Madge Halliburton and his “always fun” uncle Larry Halliburton. He is survived by his two sons Trevor Norris and Taylor Norris and Fiancé Emily Cross of Bartlesville and his two grandchildren Eliza and Oliver all of Bartlesville, parents Greg and Karen Norris of Dewey, Grandmother Louise Norris, brother Josh and wife Kinzie, four nieces, and his special friend Julie Rouse Sayre. We will all miss him dearly but rejoice in knowing he is with God and reuniting with loved ones until we join him again someday in Heaven. Viewing will be Thursday, July 28, 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM at Stumpff Funeral Home with family there receiving guests from 5:00 PM until 7 PM. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30 at 11:00 AM at Dewey church of Christ 1313 N. Osage (Hwy 75) in Dewey with Robert Hamm officiating.
