Charles Clinton Bice

MR. CHARLES C. BICE Mr. Charles C. Bice, 86, of Bartlesville, long time resident of Bartlesville, and Chemist with Phillips Petroleum Company, passed away Wednesday, February 4, at St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa of complications from a stroke and pneumonia. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bartlesville. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. The Visitation with the Family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday evening at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials have been set up in Mr. Bice’s memory to the Perpetual Education Fund in C/o the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1501 S.E. Swan Dr. Bartlesville, OK. 74006, or to the 55 Plus Activity Center 1400 S.E. Washington Blvd. Bartlesville, OK. 74006. Mr. Bice was born January 29, 1929 at Olney Illinois to Clinton and Doris Bice. He attended Elementary School in Rinard Illinois and high school in Flora Illinois, graduating in 1947. He attended the University of Illinois, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He was married to Marjorie Luse on June 10, 1951 in Flora Illinois. He was employed by the Phillips Petroleum Company in 1952, in Bartlesville, OK. in the Research and Development Department. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter –day Saints. He was the scoutmaster for several years and served in the Sunday School Presidency and Young Men’s Organization. He was also active in the Bartlesville Theater Guild, building sets for the many plays. He was a member of several local Square Dance Clubs and the 55+ Activity center, acting as disc jockey for the Country Western Dances. He is survived by his wife Marjorie of the home, by two sons; Michael Alan Bice and wife Barbara of Magna , Utah, Thomas Neal Bice and wife Rena of St. Louis, Missouri, and one daughter, Susan Speirs and her husband Joe of Lehi, Utah, 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Bice, and a great grandson Chase Olsen.
