Carol Jean Dray Carol Jean Dray, 63, of Bartlesville, died at 12:50 A.M. on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Bartlesville. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends who wish may sign the guests book at the Stumpff Funeral Home until 12 noon on Monday and the casket will remain closed at all times. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1080, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74005. Mrs. Dray was born in Bartlesville on March 16, 1950 the daughter of Jesse and Joan (Juby) Chavez. She grew up and received her education in Bartlesville graduating from College High School in 1968. She was married to Jack Dray in 1971 and they made their home in Bartlesville. She was employed with Cities Service Oil Company initially in Bartlesville and then in Tulsa when the company moved its offices and was later employed with First National Bank in Bartlesville. She was active as a seamstress with her own alteration business which she operated from her home. She became employed as a secretary at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. In the early 1990’s she became employed by the First Baptist Church where she has served for over 20 years and was currently the office administrator. In past years she had been an active bowler in local bowling leagues, had been a Girl Scout Troop Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Mrs. Dray is survived by one son, Kevin Wayne Dray and wife Kara of Bartlesville, one daughter, Ashley Jo Murphy and husband Casey of Bartlesville, one sister, Debra Elaine Suggs and husband Eddie of Bartlesville, four grandchildren, Karalyn Grace Dray, Joanna Rose Dray, Anastasia Mae Murphy and Augustus Paul Murphy, one niece, Sheena Elaine Brayfield, one nephew, Derrick Criss Suggs, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
