Mr. Bobby Dean Seat Mr. Bobby Dean Seat, 86, of Bartlesville, died at 6:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Seat will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ with Mr. David Hammonds officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded by the Ceremonial Detail of the James H. Teel American Legion Post # 105. Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ, 3700 S.E. Adams Blvd., Bartlesville Oklahoma, 74006. Mr. Seat was born on January 8, 1928 at Miami, Oklahoma to Sherman Edward and Anna Marie Seat. He grew up and received his education in Miami and graduated from Miami High School. He was married to Colleen Sparlin on July 30, 1949 at Bentonville, Arkansas and they came to Bartlesville to make their home in October of 1950. Mr. Seat was employed by the Phillips Petroleum Company from 1950 until his retirement as a computer analyst. He was a very involved member of the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ where his was active in charity work such as the church’s “community care” program, financial planning as well as overseas missionary work. He was an avid sports fan that kept up with standings and statistics of different teams. He loved all kinds of sports and in his younger years was active in basketball, softball, bowling and golf. He also loved to fish, travel, go camping and he especially loved his grandkids. Mr. Seat is survived by his wife Colleen Seat of Bartlesville, one daughter, Karen Gagle and husband Bill of Bixby, Okla., one son, James Aaron Seat and wife Gynonne of Bartlesville, one sister, Jan Stepp of Fairland, Okla., one brother, John Browning of Fairland, Okla., five grandchildren, Stevie, Katlin, Travis, Jared and his wife Kendra and Ginaphr and one great grandchild, Avery Kaye. Mr. Seat was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Wayne Seat, a sister, Jovelle Browning and his parents. PDF Printable Version
