Mrs. Billie Kaye McGrew Mrs. Billie Kaye McGrew, 79, of Bartlesville, went home to be with Jesus at 5 P.M. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. Funeral services for Billie Kaye McGrew will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church with Pastors Edgar Gordon of the Trinity Baptist Church and Paul Rummage of Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Caney, Kansas, directed by the Stumpff funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial funds have been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284-1125 or the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, 5200 S.E. Nowata Road, Suite 1, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006 or to the Trinity Baptist Church, 1500 S.W. Oak, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003. Billie Kaye McGrew was born at Caney, Kansas on July 18, 1934, to James William and Bessie Alice (Hamilton) Rogers. She grew up and received her education in Caney, Kansas and graduated from high school there. She was married to James Dean Bartlett in July 1952 at Caney, Kansas. They made their home in Caney and she was employed for a short period of time at Phillips Petroleum Company. They moved to Bartlesville to make their home in 1975. Mr. Bartlett preceded her in death on April 2, 1977. She was married Michael Edward McGrew on February 14, 1978, in Bartlesville. They have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. She was a longtime member of the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church and was a current member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She dedicated many years of volunteering her time in the church kitchens and nurseries, and was also a volunteer at the Voice of the Martyrs. She loved to go to garage sales and was a very giving and caring person, always putting herself last. Billie Kaye McGrew is survived by her husband, Mike McGrew of the home in Bartlesville; three children, Linda (Bartlett) Fecht and husband, Richard of Caney, Kansas, Roger Bartlett and wife Jackie of Mission, Kansas, and Peggy (Bartlett) Schmidt and husband John of Bartlesville; one step son, Brian McGrew of Pawhuska; one brother, Kenneth Warren Rogers and wife Sue of Bartlesville; five grandchildren, Autumn (Fecht) Dalton and husband Matt of Bartlesville, Karla Fecht of Caney, Kansas, Eric Fecht of Euless, Texas, Amy Schmidt and Melody Schmidt both of Bartlesville, and one great grandchild, Alice Henisey. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Marion Rogers. PDF Printable Version
