Mrs. Bernice Jayne Cole Mrs. Bernice Jayne Cole, 86, of Bartlesville, entered the Gates of Glory surrounded by her loving family at her bedside at 11:45 P.M. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Cole will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, August 8, 2011 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, Rev. Randy Keller officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Oglesby Assembly of God Church, 401471 West 2700 Road, Ramona, Oklahoma, 74061. Mrs. Cole was born on April 14, 1925 at Owasso, Oklahoma to Edward Brown Jackson and Stella Mae (Williams) Jackson. She grew up and received her education in the Ramona area and she also attended Chilocco and Wyandotte Indian Schools. She was married to Russell Randolph Cole on September 20, 1943 in Bartlesville and they have made their home in the Bartlesville area since that time. Mr. and Mrs. Cole owned and operated Cole’s Grocery for several years in the Glenoak area. She had also been employed in the school cafeteria at Madison Junior High and in the dietary department at the Bartlesville Care Center. Mrs. Cole had also done private sitting at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home. She had been a member of the Washington County Home Extension group, was a past member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was currently a member of the Oglesby Assembly of God Church. She loved to sing, cook, sew and feed hummingbirds her secret recipe. She also made beautiful cakes and crepe paper flower arrangements and loved family gatherings. She was also a member of the Delaware Tribe. She was a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Cole is survived by her husband, Russell Cole of the home, three daughters, Colleen Maye Dinger of DeQueen, Arkansas, Margaret Jayne Keller of Bartlesville and Judy Raye Topping and her husband Larry of Bartlesville, six grandchildren, Donnie Lee Dinger, Larry Alan Dinger, Eugene Wayne Dinger, Randy Keller, Larry Edward Topping and Christy Kelley, four step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren due in September, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Emery Jackson, Harold Jackson and Bob Jackson and one grandson, Rusty Topping. PDF Printable Version
