Barbara Jean (Hutchinson) Mabry Barbara Jean(Hutchinson) Mabry, 82, of Bartlesville, died at 12:40 P.M. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Mabry will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Spirit Church (900 S. Dewey in Bartlesville) with Pastor Darryl Wootton officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. The Mabry family will receive guests for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Spirit Church, All In Building Fund, 900 S. Dewey, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74003. Barbara Jean (Hutchinson) Mabry was born August 14, 1932 to Robert Vinson Hutchinson and Alta Adeline (Ewing) Hutchinson in Arkansas City, Kansas. She grew up in and spent most of her life in Bartlesville, where she received her education and graduated from College High School in 1950. She met her soul mate soon after that. She and Joseph (Joe) Daniel Mabry, Sr. were married on September 4, 1950. After their marriage Joe entered the Air Force and Barbara continued to live in Bartlesville. She then joined Joe on base where they were stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Alexandria, Louisiana. In 1956, they returned to Bartlesville. Over the years Barbara was employed at Bureau of Mines, JC Penneys, State Pest Control, Bartlesville School System hot lunch program, and Phillips 66, where she retired from the Credit Card Division. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, fishing, gardening, canning and going to church. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a delight to her. When they would show up, she had a sparkle in her eye and a smile on her face. She was very faithful each morning to read her bible and pray for each of them. She was a member of Spirit Church, formerly First Assembly of God where she served as Sunday School Secretary, Missionettes Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Over 50’s Leader, and many other capacities for over 50 years.She displayed a true servant's heart and has passed that down to her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elaine Hutchinson. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Joe Mabry, Bartlesville; three sons, Danny Mabry and friend Sue Swan of Bartlesville; Calvin Mabry of Saudi Arabia; Steve Mabry and wife Reba of Harrisburg, AR; Brenda Minor and husband Bill of Bartlesville. Three brothers, John Hutchinson Bartlesville, Larry Hutchinson Blanchard, OK and Stan Hutchinson Seattle, WA. Grandchildren, Curtis Thomas, Shawn Thomas, Christopher Mabry, Jennifer Davis, Bryce Mabry, DaLyn Sutton, Dustin Minor, and Zack Minor. Seven great grandchildren and one due in July.
