With a beautiful sunrise outside her window at The Journey Home, our sweet Nanny went home to meet Jesus on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 6:10 a.m. Barbara “Bobbie Lou” was just 2 months shy of her 96th birthday. Born April 4,1927 at the Rigdon Farm at the 1 mile north of Dewey on highway 75 to Georgia Leona Rigdon Miller and Ernest Hastings Miller. Bobbie received her education in the Dewey School system graduating in 1945. This Dewey girl then met Phillip Wayne Graham, a Bartlesville boy and their 66 1/2-year marriage began on July 24, 1945. Through the years she enjoyed her time as a homemaker, gardener, expert seamstress, and traveling with Wayne and the children tent camping thru the great American West particularly the National Parks. A lifelong Methodist, Bobbie later in life was a founding member of Rose Hill Community Baptist Church where her special gift of ‘Bobbie’s Brisket’ has graced many a reception. Mrs. Graham made her home north of Dewey for the past 48 years on her Grandmother Nancy Ann Brown Miller’s Cherokee allotment land. She was proud of her Cherokee Heritage which she credits for her sweet disposition and love of nature. She and Wayne enjoyed raising and racing horses while caring for the farm. Bobbie’s Lemon Meringue pie was voted ‘Grand Champion’ at the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Celebration where she won $1000. She loved spending time with her grandchildren at rodeos, horse shows, softball games, family meals, and sitting in her sunroom that Wayne had built for her. She treasured the companionship of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. Bobbie lived each day to the fullest by teaching, working, planning, doing, and taking care of their son, Rick for 39 years. She was constant in her unwavering love, kindness, honesty, and integrity. Mrs. Graham is survived by three daughters, Janet Graham Johnson, Orange, CA, Deborah Graham Bradley of Sperry, OK and Christy Graham Brown and her husband Bill of Dewey; her brother James W. Miller & sister-in-law Louise of Bartlesville; grandchildren, Michelle (Ronnie)Higgins, Alicia Parra, Karrah Johnson all of Orange County, CA, Philip (Janet)Johnson, Mammoth Lakes, CA, Kelli J (Chris)Tabler of Sperry, Meredith (Michael)Parker of Dewey, Amanda (Jarrod)Gosnell of Wann; great-grandchildren Ronnie Higgins III, Dallas Higgins, Asher Parra, Kaden Gosnell, Pistyl Gosnell, Pearl Johnson, Jude Wayne Johnson, Taylor Parker, Lane (Kayli)Parker, and Madelynn Parker, her great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Rigdon Miller and Ernst Hastings Miller. Her husband, Phillip Wayne Graham; her only son, Richard Wayne Graham, great grandson Christopher Camden Higgins. Happy trails dear Mama, Mother, Nanny, Sister, Aunt & Cousin. You are so loved and treasured. There could not a more loving, caring, and faithful woman. We will miss her terribly, but we know without a doubt we will see her again. Final arrangements will be by Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. A Memorial Services in honor of Bobbie Graham will be held at Rosehill Baptist Church on Thursday February 9, 2023, at 11:00 am in Dewey In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Journey Home, at 900 Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK 74006 (918)876-4184
