Mrs. Annetta Marie (Drake) Smith Mrs. Annetta Marie (Drake) Smith, 81, of Bartlesville, died at 9:45 P.M. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at her home. Memorial services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Andrew Odom officiating. Private interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Mrs. Smith was born at Binger, Oklahoma on December 26, 1929 the daughter of Ruby Estelle (Finch) Drake and Charles Walker Drake. She grew up in the Binger and Anadarko areas and graduated from Binger High School. She later attended Oklahoma A & M at Stillwater and Southwestern State at Weatherford. She was married to Arthur Leon Smith on June 19, 1949 at her parents’ home in Binger. They made their home in Stillwater and later at Binger until moving to Bartlesville in 1951 and have continued their home here since that time. Mrs. Smith had been employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in the credit card division for 17 years until her retirement in April of 1986. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been active members of the First Presbyterian Church since 1952 and had been active as Sunday School teachers there. She was also a volunteer at the Jane Phillips Medical Center and loved to travel. Mr. and Mrs. Smith were members of the Wheels and Reels Travel Club and had also traveled with the Credit Union Gold Club. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Leon Smith of the home, one daughter, LeAnne Ames and her husband Lenard Ames Jr. of Bartlesville, one son, Dwayne Leon Smith of Bartlesville, three grandchildren, Cee Jay Buchanan, Kathie Buchanan and Scott Ames and three great grandchildren, Max Goad, Mallory Brendle and Carter Ames.
