Steven Kenneth Smith

Steven Kenneth Smith, 72, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, at The Journey Home hospice in Bartlesville. Steven was born on April 9, 1952, in Coffeyville, Kansas, one of five children to the late Rev. Kenneth and Lucille Smith. He married Beth Ann Splinter on October 17, 1977, a union that lasted 47 years and together they raised three beloved children. A devoted family man, Steven's love for his family was evident in all aspects of his life. He cherished the time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, building lasting memories filled with laughter and love. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, from spending quality time with his family to pursuing his hobbies. He was an avid fisherman where he enjoyed making his own fishing tackle and he often enjoyed long days spent by the water with family and friends. Steven was deeply involved with church communities throughout his life. He led the music at Cedar Crest Baptist Church for years, sharing his passion for music with others. He was a writer, performer, and self-recording artist, expressing his creativity through the songs he composed. His artistic talents extended to drawing and painting, where he created beautiful works that reflected his unique vision. Gardening also brought him joy, allowing him to cultivate not only plants but also connections with the earth and nature. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his three brothers, Larry, Lonnie, and Timothy Smith. He is survived by his wife, Beth Ann; two sons, Aaron and Jacob; one daughter, Katie; and his cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter, Marcus, and Sammy. He also leaves behind his sister, Cheryl Smith Garvy, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their hearts. A memorial service will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, OK, with details to be announced soon. Steven will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
